Jon Kyl is a POS. That's right. I called him a POS. It may not get me on any rec list, but I'll call it as I see it.
In my opinion, a person dives into the description of piece of shit when their opinions are hateful, destructive, racist, cynical, self-serving, callous, inciteful, willfully ignorant - and combined with the power to make some of those ugly opinions reality.
Kyl certainly fits that bill.
He was the GOP face on the frontlines stopping unemployment benefits.
He's against the 9/11 First Responders bill.
He's stood steady on making sure the Estate tax remains.
Grabbed $200 million in pork despite voting against it.
Opposes START
Opposes the DREAM act
Blocked a $250 cost-of-living adjustment for seniors on Social Security
"Complains" about having to work during Christmas break - and as a result refers to Harry Reid as a bad Christian.
In short, the asshole hates you if you aren't a heterosexual, wealthy, Christian person just like him. What he doesn't seem to realize is that his attitude toward the human race and how to govern it in the United States is more akin to Satan than to Christ.
Moreover, the republican elite embrace this guy. That says volumes about them, but this is hardly a new argument. Being republican today means telling your fellow human beings that they mean as much as dirt if they don't walk in the same circles as you do. The party has gone from being fiscally conservative cowards to something far more grotesque in the last 15 years and Kyl is the supreme example of what we've wrought.
So I have no qualms at all calling this man a piece of shit. Given his propensity toward the ugly side of our collective wants, it's an appropriate description. Hell, it's probably not even good enough.
